The 2026 ODIN Consortium’s Annual General Meeting brought together consortium partners from across Africa and Europe in Oxford to review progress, share lessons and agree priorities for the ODIN and ODIN-Mpox projects’ final phase. Discussions highlighted advances in environmental genomic surveillance, mobile laboratory deployment, bioinformatics, training and public health engagement across Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania. Partners also reflected on challenges, sustainability and opportunities to strengthen locally led surveillance beyond the projects. The attached report provides an overview of the meeting, key achievements discussed and the consortium’s priorities as ODIN and ODIN Mpox move towards completion.
