A one-day stakeholder workshop was arranged in Kinshasa, DRC, 14 December 2023. It was attended by the department of Tropical Medicine, School of Public Health of Kinshasa, REGIDESO Water Quality Service at Water Distribution Authority, Ministry of Environment, Provincial Health Divisions, Septic tank emptying operator, Directorate of Hygiene and Health Promotion / Public Health and Sanitation Department, National Institute for Bio-Medical Research, Higher Institute of Medical Technology, Provincial Health Divisions, and DA ets Auto service waste drains. Some of the topics discussed included the contribution of genomic surveillance in the management of epidemics in the DRC, Microbes and Environmental Monitoring, Data Sharing Frameworks, Impacts of waterborne patients on the use of water resources.
