WP lead: IRSS-DRCO

Objectives:

  1. Investigate epidemiological links between surveillance system outputs and clinical situations
  2. Investigate species- and strain-dependency in cholera outbreaks using developed surveillance systems
  3. Prepare Water and Sanitation Safety Plans for the study sites and propose risk management approaches to reduce waterborne infection risks
  4. Estimate cost-efficiency of the developed methods

Summary:

The work will be focused on implementing the findings, by investigating potential correlations between the epidemiological data from the surveillance data and the clinical situation in translational settings. The WP also deals with development of safety plans for drinking water, sanitary inspections as well as evaluation of cost effectiveness of the developed methods.
